Story
Get to Know Us
I started MAKWA Contracting to be a small family business. We have a passion for helping others and giving back to the community through organizations, local sports teams and competing athletes.
I am Ojibwe, a member with Big Grassy First Nation, from Northern Ontario and part of the Makwa (Bear) Clan. We enjoy spending time with our family and welcomed our first granddaughter earlier this year. You may see us on the ball field, cracking jokes or playing hockey in the winter months.
I have resided in Edmonton for 25+ years. My background has been in event planning, service-oriented roles, administration & operations, first responder and served with the Military as a Reservist. My husband, Kevin served 10+ years with the Canadian Forces with the PPCLI, including two tours in Afghanistan.
